Where am I? Who am I? Have I lost all track of time?
I enjoy writing these updates, but it does get a little tough some days. Like today, we spent the day walking the Rim at the Grand Canyon. We thought we could walk just one way and then take the shuttle back, but nooooooo . . . . hello COVID. They shut down the shuttles. So we had double the walk we thought we would. Then a drive to Flagstaff, AZ, grocery stop, and to the hotel (which has a kitchen!) for dinner and wine. It’s 8:48pm local time as I am writing this. Our day started at 6am and we walked from 11pm – 5pm along the canyon. Okay, maybe not that bad overall, but I’m feeling a little tired so I’m going to whine about it. So there!
Anyway, where have we been the last 3 days? I’ve lost track! Yesterday we went around Lake Powell and had some amazing steaks cooked on one of the public grills in the campground area. Good times!
2 days ago we drove from Bryce Canyon to Page, AZ and went to Horseshoe Bend for the sunset. Beautiful! This is not something I had really heard of before, but now that I’ve been, I know it’s in a lot of promotional photos and I’ve seen it many times. So now I know where that place is. It’s in the north of Arizona, near the Utah border, and near a small town called Page.
So that’s the update! It’s been busy and I don’t think it’s going to slow down quite yet. Good times!
And now, back to my wine.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz . . . .
Ciao for now.
