Yellowstone, WY

Waking up in West Yellowstone is a wonderful way to start the day. Remembering that you should have written a blog post the night before is like realizing its a work day instead of a Saturday.

Just kidding. I do enjoy doing these posts, but at the end of a long day it’s not exactly the relaxation time I am looking for. Instead I would greatly prefer to have a nice conversation (and a beer or some wine) with a good friend and discuss the day. So I am trying to think of these posts more like that than a chore.

So this morning we will go into Yellowstone Park for a 2nd round of touring. Yesterday was round 1 and we saw some geysers as well as a beautiful lake that was mostly iced over.

Vale has mentioned multiple times how amazing this country is and I am incredibly proud to agree. I read some news today and am saddened to hear of the political challenges my country (and many others) is facing right now. But, when looking at the scenic beauty of the parks, it does help to keep a little perspective as well as strengthen my resolve to end the differences and try to figure out ways to get together again. If nothing else, then we owe this to future generations as a legacy. A legacy of understanding and togetherness, not one of anger, screaming, and cancelation.

Anyway, thats it for the politics of the day. I do hope all 3 of you reading this are enjoying Vale’s pictures and our little stories. I will try to post something a little more positive next time.

Ciao for now.
