Okay, after 2 1/2 days in San Francisco (and 3 days in Napa), maybe it’s time to make another post. For all 3 of you reading these, I’m sorry I haven’t posted for a couple days.
So what were we doing? Well, Napa and San Fran. Do I need to say more? Vale’s pictures show that we had a great time in Napa. We visited our favorite winery (Bogle) on the way and then spent a couple days trying as many wine tastings as we could. Unfortunately, nothing was as good as Bogle, at least not for the price. But we did meet some very nice people and enjoy some wonderful wine. One favorite stop was Hawkes, but it was more for he nice people. We called them out of the blue and they made some time (and wine!) available for us. It was a wonderful place and very friendly.
After Napa, we came down to San Francisco and have been staying in a hotel near Pier 39. The hotel isn’t amazing, but the location is perfect. We have had a couple of days enjoying walks around the city. We have also enjoyed some nice food, like the wonderful crab last night at the Pier Market. Definately a wonderful meal.
Today we walked to Sausalito. Yes, we walked. If you want to see the distance, click here. As John Candy said, my dogs are barking! According to Vale’s fitbit, we have walked over 20k steps a day for both yesterday and today. Good times!
So tomorrow it will be nice to not walk quite as much. We have a tour booked to Alcatraz and then we will say “ciao, ciao” to SF and head to Reno! This has been the highlight of our trip so far, but it’s time to start heading back.
Hope you are all doing well!
Ciao for now.
